It’s the song Dreamers that’s really going to make Canada and the rest of the world sit up and take notice, if they already haven’t. Dreamers is an uplifting, motivational song that is just what the world needs right now. When you listen you’ll think of two classic artists, ABBA on the vocal end and Cher for the melody that has the feel of her hit Believe. This is a song that makes you feel good as well as making you want to get up and move. If Janyse has more songs like this up her sleeve or even an album of jazzy tunes that mirror her Christmas album, she’s going to take her place with some other stellar artists from Canada, namely Diana Krall and Sarah McLachlan. Give her a listen, you definitely won’t regret the time spent.”

Further to that, your Dreamers video clip demonstrates fully what a spiritual & insightful person you are. It is my hope & prayer for you that your beautiful voice is heard worldwide, and that your gift benefits many more people”

In “This Day Is Mine” we learn to find the good in every situation, our day can be either “partly sunny or partly cloudy”, depending on how we look at it. Not only our days, but our lives as well are a series of choices, if we make good choices, we have a good day or a good life, if we make bad choices, we have a bad day or a bad life. Its up to us. If you or someone you know has come to a rough spot in their lives and needs uplifting and encouragement, than these 2 tracks were made for you!

Taking cues from artists such as ABBA, Diane Warren, Peggy Lee and The Bee Gees, Janyse infuses light Pop dance beats with a positive outlook and a strong positive message. Her two most recent singles are prime examples. Dreamers is feel good dance pop at its finest. The song encourages listeners to not give up on their dreams, irrespective of what life throws at you and of what other people might think. As dance music goes it’s relatively light 1980’s Dance/Pop; probably not a threat to the dance charts of today but a pleasant listen.
This Day Is Mine keeps up the positive attitude with a proclamation about working hard toward your goals and celebrating each and every day for what it is. Again, light Dance/Pop with a 1980’s bent. Janyse can pull this material off because she’s lived it; it’s hard to be this positive in the popular realm unless it’s very clear you genuinely own the message, and that comes through in Janyse’s delivery. Dreamers and This Day Is Mine are songs for folks who long for a sweeter age of Popular music.”

1. Its not full of the traditional songs that are on every Christmas album out there.
2. Janyse has a voice that’s not to be missed. She’s got the jazzy swing sound but she really knows how to work different styles and each style can appeal to a different audience, so that in the end, this album will appeal to one and all.
Elfy Under My Tree is the perfect song for the kids. Janyse does an adorable cartoon voice which has a Marilyn Monroe-esque style while still retaining the humor that’s really apparent if you give the lyrics a good listen. How could you not grin at the poor girl’s plight, trying to attract the attention of Elfy one of Santa’s toy making elves! Santa Is Mine Ho Ho is a cute love song a’la Mrs Claus and Santa! A must here cos its such a fun song. Fa La La Bling Blues is a vaudeville/cabaret number that has a rathere unusual subject matter.
The after Christmas bills! I don’t know about you, but that song will be ringing true in the first month of the year! Janyse tackles the blues with Everyday Is Christmas Blues as she pines for a lover that is away from home. She sings with a throaty whisper that would likely have any man clamoring to get home ASAP to spend the holidays with her. My favorite track is Blessed Is This Holy Night. It’s a gorgeous lullaby for the holiday season and just the type of Christmas song that always brings a tear to my eye. This is the song then you truly become aware of the beauty of Janyse’s voice.
This woman can sing anything and make it beautiful, but when given a song that’s total perfection she sounds like an angel, which is really perfect when you think of it. This is a holiday album, and who better to sing holiday tunes than an angel. It doesn’t matter the style that she’s singing in, all the songs on The Magic Of Christmas are winners.
This is one holiday CD that you will be sad to put away after the holiday lights and trees are tucked away in their boxes, but then again, who says you can’t listen to a Christmas song any other time of year? If you are looking for a fun, different album of music for the Christmas season, this is the album you want to add to your collection. Janyse will wow you with her voice and the songs will bring a smile to your face and will sprinkle some of that Christmas magic into your life. This is an album not to be missed!”

I simply cannot express my gratitude for what you and your colleagues have done for my little boy. We felt so welcome in Vancouver. We loved every minute of it. Thanks for such a wonderful visit”

You might not necessarily know her songs, but if there’s a pre-tween in the household, chances are Janyse Jaud is already a member of the family. The voiceover vet has provided the audio persona for such animated heroes as “Strawberry Shortcake’s” Orange Blossom, Pinkie Pie in “My Little Pony,” Catwoman in Batman Motion Comics, Melissa Duck in “Baby Looney Tunes” and a cast member of the popular “Ed, Edd n Eddy.” Her “The Magic of Think” concept—which now comprises 2008’s “The Magic of Think” and “The Magic of Christmas” and 2009’s “This Day Is Mine” and “Dreamers” — was born from experience with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, leading to an award for her remix of “This Day Is Mine” by Hollywood Music in Media.
With vocals, music and lyrics by Janyse, the tracks deliver exactly what one would hope for and expect: positive messages with easily digested sing-along melodies and spirited, youthful vocals, often in kiddie character. In “I Won’t Worry,” she muses, “I won’t worry about a thing, because I know what today will bring/Something wonderful, something great, is happening to me and I can’t wait.” Likewise, in “Why,” Janyse assures, “Remember to be a best friend to yourself first/How can somebody else like you if you don’t like yourself?” Production throughout is first-rate, predominated by easy-breezy dance beats, the occasional midtempo ballad and a bluegrass throw-down tossed in for novelty. Parents are likely to have a short fuse for the persistent cutesy signature here, but kids are destined to sing these songs over and over, all the while taking in their wholesome resolve. Absolutely top drawer for the genre.”

As a parent, I would have had no qualms whatsoever about my children listening to Janyse’s music when they were younger. Everything from the music to the voices she gives her characters is positive, and her lyrics carry messages which kids today need to hear. In fact, I would have dearly loved to have had this CD when my son (now aged 17) was going through his Barney phase. Even though Barney’s message was supposed to be positive, his methods of delivery drove me crazy”

Janyse’s voice work as Little Red, Coochi Coo (my personal favorite) and Aldis is absolutely adorable. Each character has his/her own story to go along with the songs. It’s all about positivity, and it’s the right message for not only children, but adults. The sound of the music is quite good, very country/pop dance-ish this time around, with (of course…) Janyse’s perfect vocal work. In short, the sounds of the music and Janyse’s vocals really complemented each other. Which make it a great experience!
The album is fun to sing along with, the lyrics are cute and VERY catchy! Boogie Oogie Man is stuck in my head, and I can’t help but get up and groove to Best Friend Forever. Awesome beat this time around! Even though Janyse moved away from the jazzy Christmas theme album, she scores again with “Magic of Think” It’s fun, cute, and puts smiles on people’s faces. Recommended for children and adults, Magic of Think is a winner!”
As for the music itself, I just adore its positive theme. And I’d say it’s enjoyed by its target audience too, judging by how my nephew and nieces (aged 2-6) kept singing random songs after hearing it the first time! The tunes are just so catchy! The lyrics are perfect for getting you through a rough day, whatever your age though. “If I Believe” is my personal favourite – a beautiful song, and perfectly performed, both musically and vocally. Once again, Janyse, thank you so much for brightening our days with your beautiful music!”
